Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Sunday that Iraqi lawmakers should set a timeline for the Iraqi military and police to take control of security nationwide. This right after the NO vote in congress not to set a withdrawal date by the U.S. says to me that that Neo-cons in charge of this mess want it to look like the Iraqi puppet government is making the decisions. I'm with the Iraqis public in the belief that the U.S. is still in control and (it maybe in the background since the new Iraqi government has been formed) make all decisions for them. I'm sorry I can't help feeling that way. Look I hope I'm wrong and this new government is for real even though it's in it's infancy. I hope just because every decision made in this war has backfired that this will not turn out badly against the fighting U.S. forces. The Iraqi PM sure is talking the talk and and cozying up with talk of amnesty for insurgents and opposition figures who have not been involved in terrorist activities. I for one will never believe that this will work. I believe that a three country arrangement would have been the best answer. But they couldn't control the oil that way.

This is the end results of one country.
